I just got back from a week, yes WEEK, at Disney World and four of those days were spent enjoying the 21st Food and Wine festival at Epcot.
I was excited to visit the Caribbean this year and try the Mojito Slush. I can say it sure did not disappoint! Luckily the Caribbean stand is near the entrance to the World Showcase. There were a few days that started with this delightful gem.
Another stand that got a lot of our attention was Hawaii. They were offering the following food and drinks:
England is a staple in Epcot's World Showcase, and we have a hard time staying away. The fish and chips are always great for an afternoon of drinking and fun. I enjoyed a layered Harp and Guinness drink while everyone else drank Guinness. Pair that with the British Revolution band and you'll be ready to dance!
France really stood out with the most delightful La Passion Martini Slush which had Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, Cranberry and Passion Fruit Juice (as pictured on the left) and Soupe à l’oignon au Gruyère et Cognac, or Gruyère and Cognac Onion Soup.
Luckily for me, my favorite drink at Epcot is the Grand Marnier Slush, which is a standard item at the France kiosk and around year round. If you want to make one at home, the recipe is very simple!
- 1 part Grey Goose Vodka
- 1 part Grand Marnier
- 1 part simple syrup
- 2 parts sweet and sour mix
Mix all ingredients in a blender till smooth and enjoy!
Other favorites I must recommend trying are:
- Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies, Australia
- Canadian cheddar cheese soup served with a pretzel roll, Canada
- Roasted Pork Lettuce Wrap and Kimchi, South Korea
- Korean-style BBQ Beef with Steamed Rice and Cucumber Kimchi, South Korea
Walt Disney World may be a place of magic and princesses from your childhood, but they really have stepped up to becoming a great place for adults to have fun as well! I saw countless bachelorette and bachelor parties enjoying their time trying to eat and drink around the world! There are so many offerings to choose from, carnivores to vegans will all be happy with the options to choose from.
Just remember, go as hungry as possible because you might be rolling out of there at night!
