Trying to fit everything I wanted to see in Napa Valley in one day was a challenge, but I was up to it.
T he day started with a wonderful brunch at Ad Hoc, a Thomas Keller restaurant. I was so excited to try his amazing food, and couldn't have been any happy to hear his brunch for the day was his famous fried chicken and waffles.
Next, we stopped at Mumm Napa for a few bubbles and to view the wonderful art work. For $28 we were able to sip 3 set types of champagne as well as any champagne of our choice. Their patio was beyond gorgeous, and I could have stayed there for hours.
From there, we headed a bit more north to see the beautiful castle at Castello di Amorosa. The castle was a bit more crowded, but we enjoyed our general admission which included a tasting in their downstairs tasting room and enjoying the castle views.
I was very excited for our afternoon cave tour at Del Dotto Vineyards. Our tour was a very small group, and we were taught about the wine regions as well as the importance of the different barrels. After the numerous pours directly from the barrels, our tour concluded with some delightful snacks (which were very much appreciated after the wine)!
Also, a huge shout out to Uber being in Napa to transfer us back and forth between vineyards!
Now to enjoy the wines I brought home!
